Who is Agnes the Adventurer?
Agnes is a little girl who finds herself in Overnon, a strange new land. With her friends — Archie, the huge blue dragon, and Winston, a rather portly weasel — Agnes runs into pirates, mermaids, mythical beasts, faeries, goblins, bizarre insects, robots, unicorns, unreal sea creatures, and, of course, dragons. The Agnes world is magical, filled with imagination, laughter, discovery, and danger. It’s adventure at its best!
Agnes
Agnes is like that confident kid you might have grown up with. You know, that kid who saved bees, didn’t kill ants, and stood up to bullies? The one who couldn’t keep still and always had something to say? That’s the one. Like all kids, Agnes is naturally curious and is always outdoors exploring. She’s not a huge fan of typical “girly” things like dolls and dress-up, but she’s right at home climbing trees, making new friends, exploring, making tools, fishing, and anything that requires being in nature.
All these skills will be helpful as Agnes travels through Overnon, a new world that she stumbles into in her first book, Agnes and the Butterfly Dragon.
Archie
Archie is a butterfly dragon, which means he can change from a butterfly into a dragon, and vice versa, on a whim. He’s on a journey to find other butterfly dragons, but he’s having a blast adventuring with Agnes in the meantime.
Agnes and Archie share an almost symbiotic relationship. Archie is most vulnerable when he’s a butterfly, so it’s up to Agnes to protect him. However, when Archie turns into a dragon, Agnes knows she’s safe from anything! After all, he’s massive, with enormous wings, a long tail, and a toothy mouth that breathes balls of fierce fire!
Winston
Winston is a mischievous weasel who has lived on a pirate ship for most of his furry life. He was found drowning in the ocean and given to Agnes by a mermaid queen. Winston tries to stay as uninvolved as possible and will try to “weasel” out of hard work if and when he can. His favorite thing is sleeping. And eating.
Agnes
Agnes is a brave little girl who loves life and loves adventures. With Archie, Agnes is well on her way to exciting adventures everywhere, exploring the unknown, making brave and bold decisions that sometimes turn out to be quite surprising, and learning about herself and other life around her. Sometimes Agnes gets into situations that can get pretty dangerous, but she manages to use her wits and confidence to resolve it.

Agnes is selfless. She will gladly share anything she has.
Archie
